I explore emotions in bodies that are anything but human. Animal forms serve as mirrors to reflect the internal struggles and desires that occur in moments of tension. I capture the moment a change is occurring, and in this way, questions and truth are posed in fur and feathers.

My work draws primarily from my own experience, which makes it deeply personal. But I believe the emotions it holds are ones most people carry. In fighting an unseen battle, or yearning for freedom, I seek to reveal unspoken thoughts. Found in the moments just before or after an action is taken, wire, rope, and animal bodies become vessels for human feelings of confinement and longing.
